Man dies after fall from hill, father alleges murder

UDHAMPUR, July 6: As a man died under mysterious circumstances, apparently because of falling from a hill, father of the deceased alleged that it was murder.
Reports said that Kaka Ram (28), son of Om Prakash, resident of village Suntha Tehsil Udhampur, was found dead in Batsua Nallha in Ramnagar. The body was spotted by some locals who immediately called the police.
On being informed, SHO Ramnagar Kulbir Singh rushed to the spot shifted the dead body to SDH Ramnagar for postmortem. The man had apparently died because of falling from height.
However, father of the deceased alleged that his son was murdered. He said that the deceased along with his family had gone to attend the wedding ceremony where his son was murdered.
According to SDPO Ramnagar, Dr Bhishm Dubey, the deceased had come to attend a marriage function at his in-laws’ house for the last 10 days. As per his in-laws, the man had gone from home last night at about 9 pm and did not return, he added.
Police has started Inquest proceedings under Section 174crpc to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Meanwhile, a woman was electrocuted after she accidentally came in contact with a live wire at her rental house near CEO office Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Gyanwasari (35), wife of Tej Ram, resident of Chhattisgarh, presently putting up near CEO office Udhampur.
