RAJOURI, Nov 18: A youth drowned in the river in Saranoo area of Rajouri today.
Police sources said that Ranjeet Singh (27), son of Natha Ram, resident of Saranoo village near Dangri had gone to the nearby river site for bathing during the day today. He drowned in the river and some locals gave information in this regard.
The Police and SDRF teams started rescue operation on large scale but his body could not be found till this evening. Police said different teams were constituted to search for the body but despite of hectic efforts till last reports, the body remained missing.
