SAMBA, Apr 6: A middle aged man was seriously injured after he fell down from the moving train at Vijaypur station this morning.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 7.15 am when 45 year-old Parveen Kumar, son of Karam Chand, resident of Chak Daulat, Ramgarh was boarding off the train. As the train (Doranto) Express started reducing its speed of halt, Parveen along with his bag jumped down but his foot slipped from stairs and he fell down, receiving serious injuries. He was rushed to Emergency Hospital Vijaypur and then referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu by the doctors there. The Railway Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
