JAMMU, Feb 27: Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu Manoj Parihar has awarded one year imprisonment to one Manu Gill for giving shelter to a Pakistani Wahid Alam, who has already been convicted.
According to the police case, on August 2, 2010 an information was received that one Wahid Alam of Pakistan along with Manu Gill are living in the house of Girdhari Lal on rent and hiding their actual identity. Police conducted search and recovered some documents and ATM card of Pakistan Bank.
After hearing both the sides, court observed, “the crime committed by the accused is reprehensible”. Accordingly, Manu Gill was awarded one year imprisonment.
