RAMBAN, Feb 12: Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches from Bus Stand area here.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban police station intercepted a person near Bus Stand.
During checking, police recovered 47 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Mohammad Sajid, son of Mohammad Rayees, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Mir Bazaar, Srinagar.
A case under FIR Number 26/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban police station Inspector Pardeep Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
