JAMMU, Apr 28: One person was hacked to death by his nephews and other relatives at Gho Manhas area here, police said.
They said one Bachan Lal and his son Mahesh Kumar, who had a land dispute with their relatives, were attacked with sharp-edged weapons by the latter on April 25 at Gho Manhasa, while the former were ploughing a land court had held them the legitimate owners of.
In the attack, the father-son duo suffered severe injuries and they were admitted to Government Medical College Jammu, where Bachan Lal succumbed to his injuries today, police said.
Seven people have been arrested in this case who have been booked in case FIR number 101/2024 under sections 302, 307, 323, 147, 148 of IPC and 4/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Domana.
Further investigation is underway, said police.
