RAMBAN, Oct 4: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a tractor trolley turned turtle on road near Chareel area of tehsil Banihal, resulting into serious injuries to two persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
Both the injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospital Banihal, where doctors declared one of the injured as brought dead, while another was referred to GMC Anantnag for specialised treatment.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Firoz Din of Nowgam Tehsil Banihal, while the injured was identified as Wahied Ahmed of West Bengal.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when a dumper rolled down near Seran area of Khare here.
The injured persons identified as Bashir Ahmed (driver), son of Mohammed Yousaf and Mohammed Ayoub, son of Mohammed Shafi, both residents of Panthyal District Ramban were shifted to PHC Khari from where they were later referred to SDH Banihal for advance treatment.
Khari Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
