POONCH, July 19: A man was severely injured when a person allegedly ran over him with a car in Mendhar area of Poonch district over some money dispute.
Reports said one Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Mohd Razaak hailing from Pharamanar in Gursai went to collect Rs 8000 on his motorcycle from one Waseem Aslam at Jaran Wali Gali on Friday. There was some heated exchanges between the two over money issue.
The Waseem allegedly hit Mushtaq with the car as a result of which he fell down and suffered serious injuries, Waseem then sped away from the spot. The injured was shifted to SDH Mendhar and later referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
SHO Gursai Sanjay Gupta said that police received a complaint and a case has been registered in this connection. A Police party has been dispatched to nab the accused,” he added.
