JAMMU, Feb 26: President J&K Jatt Sabha and Ex-Minister, Manjit Singh has expressed concern over the alleged negligence of Jatt community in the border belt of Jammu as no representation was allegedly given to them even in the proposed amendment in the draft report of Delimitation Commission.
In a handout, Singh said that Delimitation Commission has ignored a community which has often faced enemy bullets bravely on the border.
“These people were displaced from many places due to border clashes and their political representation was undermined and ignored as not even a single seat was given to them despite their vast population,” he claimed.
Singh further claimed that this has happened due to a conspiracy of BJP to deliberately ignore a community which has spread in border villages of Jammu province.
He demanded that the amendments which have come in a report should again be considered and Jatt community should be given political representation which is still being ignored.
