Manminder excels in HDOR virtual event, attains 13th rank

JAMMU, Oct 6: Daughter of soil, Manminder Kour excelled in 100 Days of Running (HDOR) by attaining 13th rank in All India Women participation.
About 3300 women were among 10,000 participants who started 100 days running on June 27 and culminated on October 4, wherein Manminder Kour attained 4th rank in All India Women participation in age category of 40-49 years.
With this achievement, she has become first woman of Jammu who ran 2801 kilometres with top mileage in a day of 69.3 kilometres in 10 hours and 11 minutes in the same category (40-49 years).
Manminder Kour is a housewife and mother of two grown-up children. She had started running and jogging in month of November, 2011 and thereafter in early month of next year, she had participated in ‘Super Sikh Run 2018’ and completed the 10 km run in just one hour and 6 minutes.
Her dedication and passion towards running can be gauged from this fact that after the Super Sikh Run 2018, she got knee injury and went for back to back two surgeries. She took six months to recover from it and participated in the biggest event of the country- HDOR- a virtual event this year that too with excellent performance.
It is pertinent to mention here that100 Days of Running is the flagship running event of HDOR platform and it is the biggest running challenge in the world over a period of 100 days or more.
In her message to general public and women in particular, she said that nothing is impossible if a human being want to do it. Every person should do regular-jogging whenever he or she get time, she said.
