JAMMU, Dec 27: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has strongly criticized BJP and especially the DyCM Dr Nirmal Singh for their political drama of ‘good governance’.
He was referring to the act of DyCM, Dr Nirmal Singh over the political drama of pledge to the Government employees of different departments working in Billawar tehsil at Government Higher Secondary School, Billawar during meeting on December 25.
The Congress leader advised to the DyCM Dr Nirmal Singh and BJP allies to learn lesson of good governance first and then teach and preach employees of the Billawar. He said that it is most unfortunate that the Nirmal Singh who holds the portfolio of Power Development Department, Housing and Urban Development in the State Government, has failed to provide good governance in his own departments. Power situation is grim in the entire State. Allegation of corruption in both the departments echoed in the public. Dr Singh is making mockery of the system and fun of himself by doing so.
Dr Sharma alleged that DyCM was teaching lessons of good governance to the employs who happens to be daily wagers, CP workers, ReT teachers and ITI workers and are without salaries/wages since long and inspite to listen their problems of regularization and long pending wages, he was teaching them this lesson.
PCC leader said that there is steep rise in corruption in every sphere of Government functioning. The payment of Rs 13.50 crores including a high end and a bungalow by a BJP MLC to a senior Minister of BJP for grant of NOC to build flats in objectionable area is the example of high end corruption. Moreover, family members of some senior ministers are involved in extraction of money for managing transfer crossed the limit. He said that CM should take note of it.
