JAMMU, Nov 3: Manpreet outplayed top seed Sunpreet Singh by (11-7, 11-8, 11-7) in the semifinals, while Ritvik Gupta got better of Divyam by (9-11, 11-7, 11-8,11-7) in the last four stage in the ongoing Jammu District Open Table Tennis Championship today at MA Stadium to face each other in the summit clash at the same, here.
Earlier, in junior boys quarterfinals, Divyam defeated Abhay Koul by (11-9, 9-11, 11-8, 11-8), Ritvik prevailed over Adhiraj by (11-9, 11-8, 11-9), Mandeep outclassed Asad by (11-9, 9-11, 11-9- 13-11) and Sunpreet drubbed Amrit Koul by (11-6, 11-6, 11-5).
In junior boys pre-quarter finals, Sunpreet trounced Aryaman by (11-7, 11-6), Amrit Koul got beter of Ninad by (11-7, 1-9), Mandeep Singh beat Ritvik Mahajan by (11-9, 9-11, 13-11, 14-12), Azad prevailed over Arnav by (8-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-8), Divyam outplayed Ketan by (12-14, 11-9, 11-8, 4-11, 11-7), Abhay Koul beat Anuj Gupta by (11-9, 11-8, 11-7), Adhiraj trounced Ashank by (11-9, 11-2, 14-12) and Ritvik Gupta defeated Anirudh by (11-7, 11-8, 11-7).
Meanwhile, in junior girls’ semifinals, Jhanvi outplayed Ashmeet Kour by (11-4, 11-6, 11-3) and Shreya trounced Surbhi by (11-7, 11-7, 7-11, 11-9)
In junior girls quarterfinals, Jhanvi drubbed Archita Kesar by (11-7, 11-8, 11-9), Ashmeet Kour beat Meghna Jain (11-7. 11-7, 11-8), Surbhi beat Bhavya (11-5, 11-6, 11-8) and Shreya trounced Iknoor (11-5, 11-3 and 11-6).
The matches were held under the supervision of Satish Gupta, S Narinder Singh and Meenu.
