SRINAGAR, Apr 15: An engineering student from North Kashmir’s Baramulla, Mansoor Ahmed Wani secured 3rd position in Men’s Physique Open Competition, held in New Delhi.
Mansoor Ahmad Wani (23) is resident of Khushal Chenand Sangrama district Baramulla and has been able to achieve the feat which somebody from Kashmir got for the first time.
As per the family, Mansoor has dedicated most of his time practising and that he has been doing right from his childhood and at the same time, he was inspired by his elder brother Iqbal Wani who also happens to be a bodybuilder.
The family said that they were happy and proud of their son who not only made them proud but the entire J&K feels a moment of pride. “I participated in the championship which provided a platform to at least 400 youngsters from different States participated and securing bronze there is quite an achievement for me,” said Mansoor.
Mansoor further said that while a lot of talent is there in Kashmir, but, he said, they need proper guidance and platform to excel in their fields.
