Manwal Indians lift title trophy

MAJALTA, Jan 21: 8th Sehal Valley Winter Challenger Tournament concluded at Mini–Stadium Sehal Kouri Ber, here today.
In the summit clash, Manwal Indians defeated Royal Stags, Sundla by six wickets in an exciting contest. Royal Stags, Sundla won the toss and elected to field. Manwal Indians scored 163 runs in 25 overs for the loss of five wickets. Surjeet was the top scorer with 59 runs, while Raju contributed 24 runs to the total.
In reply, Royal Stags, Sundla collapsed against the reeling attack of Manwal Indians in 18.4 overs for a paltry total of 73 runs. Vicky was the pick of the bowlers for Manwal Indians, who bagged 3 important wickets in his five overs by giving away 15 runs.  Surjit Sarailia of Manwal Indians was adjudged as man of the match and was awarded with an attractive trophy and cash prize of Rs 1000, while Rakesh Kumar was adjudged as man of series and was awarded an attractive trophy and cash prize of Rs 2000 by the chief guest on the occasion. The winner team was presented a trophy alongwith a cash prize of Rs 5100, while the runner-up team was given Rs 3000 as cash prize and a trophy.
The prizes were distributed among the teams and players by the chief guest, RS Pathania, general secretary, J & K Pradesh Youth Congress, while Mohan Lal, Sarpanch, Haji Mohd Azeem, Naib-Sarpanch were also present on the occasion.
