Inter-Panchayat/Block Level Football

JAMMU, Jan 1: Nagrota and Marh Blocks registered convincing victories over their rivals to strengthen their position in the ongoing inter-Panchayat/Block district level Football Tournament under Khelo India, jointly organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) and J&K Sports Council at Mini Stadium, Parade, here.
In the first scheduled match, Block Marh defeated Khour by four goals to one (4-1). Tushar Puri scored two goals while Rahul Bhagat and Tushar Singh added one each for the winning side. From Khour Block, Amit was the goal scorer.
In another match, Block Nagrota thrashed Satwari by three goals to nil (3-0). Shivam Singh, Prabal Pratap Singh and Surya Kumar Sharma scored the goals.
The Championship is being organised under the patronage of Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary Youth Services and Sports and Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports, while Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jammu is the Organising Secretary.
The office bearers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) are supervising the matches.
