Marksmen shine in 12th J&K-UT Shooting C’ship

KATRA, Aug 4: On the 3rd day of the 12th J&K UT Shooting Championship undergoing at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex Katra, Ace Marksmen shined with remarkable performances.
Madhupal Singh from Jammu and Kashmir Police showcased outstanding prowess with a score of 562 in the 10 Meter Air Pistol ISSF Men’s Event. Pragya Verma from SMVDU, Katra displayed remarkable precision, securing a score of 624.7 in the 10 Meter Air Rifle ISSF Women’s event.
At Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur witnessed fierce competition in the 25 meter Pistol and 50 meter Pistol events, where Abhay Gupta delivered an excellent performance in both categories.
The matches were conducted under the overall supervision of Rajesh Virdhy, with assistance from Tarun Dev Singh, Sahil Sharma, Pranav Sambyal, Vishal Mehra, Surjit Sing, the technical officials from J&K Rifle Association and Anjan Singh from the National Rifle Association of India.
Vipan Chandran, Superintendent of Police, Katra, Surinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Station House Officer, Nishant Katra were present during the occasion.
