*Jai Baba Sidh Goria team lifts titile

SAMBA, Mar 2: Jai Baba Sidh Goria Volleyball team trounced Jai Baba Chamliyal Volleyball team in the finals of Police Martyrs Volleyball Tournament and lifted the title trophy, played at Govt Higher Secondary School Ground Ramgarh, here today.
Rajesh Sharma- SSP Samba was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony. He was accompanied by Ajaz Zargar-Addl SP, Keshav Sharma-DDC Chairman, Darshan Singh-BDC Chairman, Govind Rattan-DySP PC Samba, Dr Love Karan Taneja-SDPO Vijaypur, Sarbjeet Singh-DDC member, Shilpa Dubey-DDC member & Ashwani Kumar-Principal GHSS Ramgarh.
About 16 teams from across District Samba participated in the tournament, whereas matches were played under the supervision of trained staff.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba said that the aim of organizing such sports events by the J&K Police is to channelize the energy of youth in positive direction and to keep them away from drug abuse and other social evils.
Later, prize distribution function was held in which both winner and runner up teams were awarded with suitable cash rewards, mementos, trophies and commendation certificates.
