DODA, July 23: Scripting a big win by 87 runs over Wadi-e-Kashmir in the semifinals, Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah entered into the finals of the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018, which is being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah scored a huge total of 193 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Mohsin Najar played a magnificent innings of 48 runs, while Nikhil Khatri added 47 runs to the total. For Wadi-e-Kashmir, Sameer was the the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets, while Waris and Asrar shared 2 wickets each.
Wadi-e-Kashmir, in reply, collapsed at 106 runs in 17.2 overs. Sameer was the top scorer with 21 runs, while Umar Nabi contributed 19 runs to the total.
For MCC Bhaderwah, Abid Mushtaq scalped 3 wickets while Rakesh Parihar also took 3 wickets.
For his brilliant performance with the bat, Mohsin Najar of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah was adjudged as the man of the match who was given prize by BDO Thathri.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik was the scorer.
