DODA, July 7: Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah outplayed City Boys Madhya Pradesh by 3 wickets to advance into the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
In the first match after winning the toss, City Boys Madhya Pradesh set a target of 117 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs with the contribution of 22 runs by Sachin Patel and 21 runs by Utkarsh Pandey. From Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah, Adil and Zahid Mughal scalped 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, batsman of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah chased the given target in 16.2 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Gourav Khajuria was the highest scorer who contributed 41 runs while Abid Rather contributed 24 runs for the team. From City Boys Madhya Pradesh, Pradeep Patel and Utraksh scalped 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Gourav Khajuria of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah was declared as the man of the match for his best batting performance who was given prize by Chief Guest DySP DAR Nazir Ganai along with Medical Officer Dr Tanveer Dar and Master Bharat Bhushan.
The matches were officiated by Ifroz Rather, and Munish Zutshi as umpires while Milind Gore and Waseem Raja maintained the scorebook.
