UDHAMPUR, July 29: A massive response has been witnessed at grievance redressal cell ‘Sahulat’ established by district police here at DPO.
Aimed to devise a mechanism for systematic registration of the grievances of the complainants and their time bound periodical follow up till the issue/complaint gets disposed off on merits under law and to the satisfaction of the aggrieved persons, ‘Sahulat’ was established on May 17 this year.
“Since its inception, 408 people/delegations have registered their grievances at district headquarters with 270 complaints either individual or joint, out of which 210 complaints have been disposed off within prescriber time limit of five weeks, four complaints disposed off beyond that i.e. in sixth week and recently registered 56 complaints are under process with different territorial units”, a handout issued by district police said.
According to the handout, about 496 feedback phone calls have been made and 234 SMSs have been delivered to the complainants with regard to the progress/status of their grievance at Police Station/PP level and deposal, etc.
