LEH, July 18: The matches in all the seven disciplines including boxing, Judo, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, Archery and Track & Field were held at different venues on the second day of Ladakh School Olympics, here.
The participants showed great excitement, enthusiasm, energy and high sportsman spirit.
One of the major highlights of the day was river rafting practice session near Sangam in which 12 girls’ teams and 16 boys’ teams are participating.
Turtuk Hr. Sec. School girls’ cricket team winning the match by hitting a six on the last ball with the requirement of 5 runs was the most enthralling part of day-2.
Administration ensured conduct of every game in the most professional manner and Deputy Commissioner Leh, Avny Lavasa inspected all the venues to ensure proper facilities to the students.
Administration is providing boarding, lodging and transport facilities to students.
