JAMMU, Dec 9: District Youth Services and Sports Office Samba organized selection trials of Matsogi-Do Martial Art in Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana.
On the occasion, Jarpal Singh, Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba was the chief guest. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Principal of HPS, Gaurav Charak, Master Anirudh Singh and Pankaj Mehra, organizer.
The trials were conducted by Harjeet  Kour, Jagpreet Kour, Karanjeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ravia Siyal, Ashutosh Khajuria, Samrat Mahajan, Sarita Bandral and Suman Bate.
60 players from different schools of Samba participated in the trials.
In Under-14 girls, the students of HPS namely Neha Jaral, Rumani and Yasmeen Akitar were declared winners, while in Under-14 boys, the students of APS Bari-Brahmana namely Jasbir Singh, Akhil Bharti and Sourav Sharma were the winners.
In Under-17 boys and girls, the students of HPS namely Vishal, Mukesh, Nikhil Jaral, Shivani Sharma, Vishali Bhagat and Pallavi were adjudged winners, while in Under-19 boys and girls, Shajad Ahmed, Mohd Aasim, Tarun Sharma of APS Bari Brahmana and Ujala Gupta, Nisha Devi and Priyanka Devi of Govt Higher Secondary School Vijaypur were declared as winners.
The overall trophy was won by the students of HPS for their excellent performance.
The students along with the officials were honoured on the occasion.
