JAMMU, Sept 29: A mammoth “Maun” rally was taken out here at Gandhi Nagar by the devotees of Sant Shri Asaram Bapu and all right thinking people as a mark of protest against the atrocities inflicted on him at the behest of the Central Government.
The tightlipped peaceful rally started from Gole Market at about 2 pm and after passing through all the markets of the Gandhi Nagar again culminated at Gole Market.
Such “Maun” rallies were also taken out simultaneously in various cities of the country and abroad.
Meanwhile a Sant Sammelan was organized at Bishnah town today under the presidentship of Mahamandheswar Mahant Shri Rameshwar Dass Ji Maharaj in support of Sant Aasaram ji Bapu, wherein several Sant and Sadhus participated.
Sant Samaj vociferously denounced the Central Government for its role in grilling the holy saint of global repute in jail on the false and baseless allegations with the sole aim of bringing a slur on his good name. They warned that if he is not bailed out on October 1, all the Sant Samaj shall come on the roads and sit on ‘fast unto death’.
