JAMMU, July 26: S. Maxin Singh defeated Vishal Sudan in the summit clash to win men’s Chess title in the ongoing Jammu University Employees Tournament in the disciplines Badminton, Carrom, Chess and Table-Tennis held at University Gymnasium Hall, here today.
In Chess Women final, Pooja Manhas beat Sunita Amla to win the title.
In Carrom Women final, Komal Bakshi defeated Sunita Amla, while in Doubles final, Pooja Manhas & Komal Bakshi outplayed Sonika Sharma and Nidhi Gandral.
In Carrom Men final, Vishal Sudan outclassed Sahil Gupta, while in Carrom Men Doubles, Gurmeet Singh and Naresh Kumar beat Abhinav Sharma & Pankaj Gupta.
In Carrom Mixed final, S. Gursharan Singh & Pooja Manhas beat Naresh Sharma & Anita Kapoor, while in Table Tennis Prof Rakesh Vaid beat Er Rajesh Kumar and in Table Tennis Men Doubles final, Prof Rakesh Vaid & Dr Susheel Sharma beat Er. Rajesh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
In Badminton Men final, Vishal Sudan beat Aman Singh, while in Badminton Women final, Sonika Sharma drubbed Nidhi Sahini, while in Badminton Women Doubles final, Anita Sharma and Komal Bakshi defeated Meenakshi Sharma and Pooja Manhas.

Dr. Sandeep Arya & Sh. Niranjan Singh beat Rajesh Kumar & Sh. Vishal Sudan
In Badminton Men Mixed Doubles final, Dr Sandeep Arya and Meenakshi Sharma beat Rajesh Kumar and Komal Bakshi.
The officiating panel included Raj Kumar Bakshi, S. Padam Dev Singh, Jai Bharat, Gagan Kumar, Ravish Vaid and Vikas Karlopia, besides the students of B.P.Ed and M.P. Ed Courses.
