LUCKNOW, Sept 7: Republican Party of India(A) president and union Minister Ramdas Athawale has appealed to BSP president Mayawati to reconsider her decision to join the mahagathbandan and ally with NDA.
“Mayamati has become the CM of UP three times with the support of BJP and now when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone for Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas then why is so opposition,” he said.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr Athawale said that RPI has enroded into the vote bank of dalit.
“Mayawati should rethink about joining the Mahagathbandan and she should go with NDA,” he said.
Explaining reason for the defeat of BJP in 3 Lok Sabha by polls in UP, he said that BJP did not take the by polls seriously besides PM also did not campaign for it.
He also joined the Mayawati on reservation for upper caste poor, but went ahead by saying that 25 per cent should be kept aside for them. (UNI)
