JAMMU, July 8: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta here today chaired a meeting where discussions on redressal of public issues was held and the Mayor issued instructions to the concerned officers to attend phone calls of JMC Councillors regarding matters of public importance.
The Mayor also issued instructions to the SE PWD to re-Construct deep drains on main road in the city on priority and discuss new plans of the department with concerned Councillor as the latter are familiar with problems of general public.
Instructions for properly filling pits and main holes on roads to avoid mishaps were also issued along with those of repairing of damaged culverts.
The SE PWD assured the Mayor to take every possible step for redressal of genuine demands of public.
Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma; JMC Commissioner, Avny Lavasa; Ravinder Mansotra, SE PWD; Mohit Mahajan I/C JC (W) JMC and others were also present in the meeting.
