JAMMU, Aug 7: Continuing his endeavour to provide better development and civic amenities to the people, JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta inaugurated two Open Gyms at Mohalla Naryaiana and Shivaji Park, Sarwal, here today.
The first Gym was inaugurated at Mohalla Naryaiana of Ward number, 9 in the presence of local Councillor, Sumit Raina and commissioned the requisite numbers of equipments related to newly established Open Gym. Radha Sharma, Asha Gupta, Kamini, Jyoti Bhatt, Munish Sharma, Neeraj Kotach, Deepak Kumar & other citizens were also present during the event.
Meanwhile, the 2nd Gym was inaugurated at Shivaji Park Sarwal of Ward number, 18 by JMC Mayor along with local Councillor, Dinesh Gupta in the presence of Executive Engineer, Mohit Mahajan, Executive Engineer, Project Division JMC, Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, SK Bhatt Junior Engineer of Division-II, RC Bhasin, Charan Dass, Sangeeta Gupta, Subash Chander, Om Parkash, Narinder Kumar, Pawan Bakshi and other prominent residents of the ward.
Mayor said that the JMC has already taken up the job of commissioning Open Gyms along with installing requisite number of equipments of Rs 2 lacs in each Open Gym, so that the general public could avail the benefit of the newly established Gyms in an open and eco- friendly atmosphere.
He appealed the general public to cooperate with JMC for keeping Jammu neat, clean and green city.
