JAMMU, Apr 28: The MBS Club today lifted the 2nd Mahant Bachiter Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament beating Hiranagar Hockey Club Kathua 7-8 in sudden death in the final played at Simbal Camp, near here.
The winner team presented with a cash prize of Rs 11,000 while runners-up got Rs 5100 from the chief guest, general secretary Hockey India, Rajinder Singh Kuku. International Wushu player, Rajinder Singh and Rajinder Singh Raju were guests of honour.
Among others present were Avtar Singh Khalsa (DGPC), Manmohan Singh (DGPC), Didar Singh, PP Singh, Jasvinder Singh Kuku, Rajinder Singh Nathu (Sarpanch), Charanjeet Singh (NIS), Gurjeet Singh (international player), Dr Taran Singh, Jaspreet Singh Jimmy and Karanjeet Singh.
