JAMMU, Jan 19: Defeating Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club by four goals to nil (4-0) in the summit clash, MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp won the title trophy of the 2nd Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior Hockey Tournament at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here today.
From MBS 1st goal was scored by S Rupinder Singh during the 3rd minute of the match, while the 2nd goal was scored by S Sanamdeep Singh in 25th minute. S Gaganjot Singh scored the 3rd goal in 52nd minute and S Ramandeep Singh scored 4th goal in 59th minute of the match.
The matches were officiated by Jagjit Singh, Dalbir Mehta, Joginder Singh, S Charanjit Singh, S Jaspreet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Karanjit Singh and G S Bakshi, Tournament Director.
The tournament was organized by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, under the aegis of Hockey J&K in order to promote the game of hockey among the youngsters.
Dr Abdul Kabir Dar, Director General Indian Systems of Medicine J&K and Mission Director National AYUSH Mission was the chief guest during the valedictory function who distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up teams.
Dr Roop Lal Sharma, chairman Sri Sai Charitable Trust and Padamshri Er S P Varma were the guests during honour, while S Rajinder Singh, treasurer Hockey J&K, Dr O P Gupta, retired Deputy Director Health, Er Gurmeet Singh S E and SP Singh, manager KK Hakhu Stadium were the special guests.
Davinder Bakshi presented songs on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were S Manjit Singh, resident secretary Hockey J&K, Bal Krishan, Tejinder Singh, Tirlok Singh, Davinder Bakshi, S Deedar Singh, Gurdyal Singh, Sant Waryam Singh, Ab Majid Malik, Choudhary, S Balwinder Singh and S Amardeep Singh.
