MBS Simbal Camp, Khalsa Gole Gujral register wins

JAMMU, Nov 17: Outplaying their rivals convincingly on day-5 today, MBS Simbal Camp and Khalsa Club, Gole Gujral entered into the next round of the ongoing Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Tournament, at K K Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match, MBS Simbal Camp defeated Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar by four goals to two (4-2). For MBS, Paramveer Singh netted the first goal early in the 3rd minute of the match, while Ramandeep Singh, Shivam and Jaspreet Singh scored the second, third and fourth goals in 12th, 45th and 50th minutes respectively. For Deshmesh Club, Javed and DP Singh netted the goals in 27th and 46th minutes respectively.
In another match, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral drubbed Hiranagar Club by (4-2).  Gurmeet Singh scored all the goals for Khalsa Club in 23rd, 46th, 49th and 50th minutes respectively. Gurmeet displayed superb soccer skills and showed great anticipation and sharp reflexes. For Hiranagar Club, Sanjay and Gourav scored the goals in 42nd and 55th minutes respectively.
Attar Singh, managing director LG Jammu wa the chief guest in the first match, while Prof Inder Singh was the chief guest in the second match and Rajbir Singh was the guest of honour.
The matches were officiated by Tajinder Singh, Charanjit Singh, Manjeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Abishek Kumar, Jagjit Singh, Joginder Singh and Jaspreet Singh.
9 teams from Jammu Division are participating in the 9-day lon league-cum-knock-out tournament. Final of the tournament will be played on November 21, 2015.
The tournament is being organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat, Jammu under the auspices of Hockey J&K, under the supervision of Sewa Singh, president Sangat, Karamjeet Singh, general secretary Sangat, TP Singh, organizing secretary and GS Bakshi, Tournament Director.
