DODA, July 8: Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah thrashed Kishtwar Warriors by 78 runs in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship being played at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank Ltd, Zum Zum Sweets (Kud Wale), Mumtaz Building Material Doda, Hotel Doda Darbar, Green Model Hr Sec School Doda, Shaheen Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Chenab Valley Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Natnoo Furnishing House, Angel Light and Tent House Doda.
The organisers are being supported by District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah scored 150 runs 19.1 overs. Prateek Bhardwaj top scored with 42 runs while Jaleel Bhat contributed 32 runs. From bowling side, Adil Wani, Sohail and Mubashir Hussain took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Kishtwar Warriors bundled out for paltry total of 73 runs in 13.5 overs as none of their batsmen showed much resistance against the disciplined bowling of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah. Burhan Qazi top scored with 37 runs while Adil Ahmed added 12 runs to the total. From bowling side, Abid Mushtaq and Rashid Ali bagged 3 wickets each, while Shafqat and Jaleel Bhat claimed 2 wickets each. Jaleel Bhat of Masood Cricket Club Bhaderwah was declared as the man of the match for his all- round performance who was given prize by Prop Zum Zum Sweets Doda Sahil Choudhary and Rajid Ali Wani.
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza as umpires, while Ashok Sharma was the TV umpire and Sandeep Kaushik maintained the scorebook.
