JAMMU, Dec 28: Vivek Suri, captain of Media Cricket Club (MCC) Jammu represented North Zone in 2nd Veterans Cricket India Inter Zone Cricket tournament being held at Indore.
The tournament was hosted by Dynamic Veterans Cricket Foundation Central India in which five zones including East, West, North, South and Central along with one team from overseas Indians participated.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vivek Suri is working for the promotion of sports in J&K and is providing a platform to budding players in different sports and has organised a number of tournaments in Jammu and Kashmir in this regard.
In this Cricket tournament, former India players like Rajesh Chauhan, Saba Karim, Avinash, Rajesh Suthra, Sanjay Jha and Nikhil Parikh participated in 45 overs league matches played at three different venues in Indore.
The Western Zone lifted the coveted trophy and Central Zone remained runners up.
