Srinagar, Sept 18: Pulwama Cricket League (PCL)-2023 concluded with a colorful closing ceremony here today after the final match of the tournament was played at Sports Stadium Lelhar in which MCC Kakapora emerged as the winners.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Pulwama Mohd Yousif was the Chief Guest. DySP DAR DPL Pulwama, DySP Kakapora, SHO PS Kakapora, and other district officers, along with a large number of spectators and sports lovers from the district, also attended the closing ceremony.
The final match of the T20 cricket tournament was played between MCC Kakapora and Blue Cap Lelhar, in which MCC Kakapora emerged as the winners, defeating Blue Cap Lelhar by 17 runs. The tournament was played on a knockout basis, with 16 teams from different areas of the Kakapora belt participating with great enthusiasm, passion, and valour.
Later, cheif guest presented trophies and medals to the winning team and the runner-up team. The winning team and the runner-up team were awarded trophies, along with cash prizes of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively. Man of the Match award, comprising a Cricket Bat and a Trophy, was given to Adil Rashid, while the Man of the Series award, containing a Sports Kit and a Trophy, was presented to Adil Rasool.
