JAMMU, Mar 14: The medal presentation ceremony of various events including Bodybuilding (men), Powerlifting (men-women, Judo men, Athletics, Archery, Wushu and Taekwondo was conducted in Inter-Zone Sports Meet-2021 at Gulshan Ground, here today.
SD Singh ADGP, Security/ Director SKPAU/SSG J&K was the chief guest besides SS Kotwal-SSP Security Jammu, Mohan Lal SSP, AD Outdoor SKPAU, Mohd Aslam Choudhary, SSP CID Hqrs and Mohd Shabir SSP, SO to Commandant General Home Guard along with others officials were present during the event.
Today various matches of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Handball were conducted at DPL Ground Jammu, whereas matches of Football, Athletics and Hockey were conducted at Jammu University Ground and Basketball matches were conducted at Gulshan Ground Jammu.
In body building men, Dalip Singh and Zulfakar Ali clinched top two medals in 50-60 kg, whereas in 60-70 kg, Shubnandan Sharma, Rohit Kumar and Vijay Kumar bagged top three medals and in 70-80 kg, Adil Bhat, Deepak Sharma and Ranjit Singh secured first three places besides in 80-90 kg, Mohd Tayab, Mujeer Ahmed and Rafiq Ahmed won top three medals respectively and in 90 kg, Paramjeet Singh, Jalil Ahmed and Samit Khan clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In powerlifitng men, Rohit Singh, Sahil Gupta and Mahinder Singh remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd in below 60 kg, whereas in 60-66 kg, Shubnandan Sharma, Peerzada Akhtar and Ajay Bharti clinched top three medals and in 66-74 kg, Ameet Singh, Saleem and Manoj Kumar stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively besides in 74-83 kg, Pawan Sagar, Mohd Tayab and Jaidev clinched top three medals, while Arun Kumar, Paramjeet Singh and Nakul Saroch bagged top three medals in 83 kg and in 93-105 kg, Pardeep Kumar, Gharjeet Singh and Jaleel Ahmed won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively and in 105-120, Jatinder Pal Singh, Mohd Younis and Aridhaya Malhotra secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
In powerlifting women, Neelam Devi and Ritu Bala remained 1st and 2nd in 47 kg, whereas Divya Bharti, Nisha and Priya clinched top three medals in 47-52 kg and in 52-57 kg, Kavita, Pooja and Preeti stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively besides in 57-63 kg, Rajni, Priya and Mamta won top three medals while in 63-69 kg, Inderjeet Kour, Pooja and Pooja -II got gold, silver and bronze medals and in 69-76 kg, Seema Devi, Mariyam and Sudesh Kumari secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In 76-84 kg, Zareena Akhter, Nisha Rani and Nilofer Jaan secured top three medals respectively and in above 85 kg, Sayeed Ulfat, Salma Bani and Usrat Fatima bagged top three medals.
In Judo men, Zulfkar Ali, Parviaz Ahmed and Mir Zubair stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd in below 60 kg, whereas in 66 kg, Rohit Kumar, Ajay Singh and Manohar Lal clinched top three medals and in 73 kg, Younis Ali, Anil Sharma and Rajinder Singh secured top three medals besides in 81 kg, Shubham Singh, Rakesh Singh and Mohd Ishfaq won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively and in 90 kg, Ranjeet Singh, Pawan and Sukhdev Singh secured top three medals and in 100 kg, top three medals were clinched by Razak Ali, Gulshan Singh and Shamsher Singh while in plus 100 kg, Shubham Singh, Darshan and Rakesh Singh stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In Athletics 800 mtrs, Salman Ahmed, Shubam Sharma and Akhtar Ali stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd whereas in discuss throw, Mahender Sigh Adil Hussain and Arun Sharma remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in 5000 mtrs race, top three places were clinched by Ram Raj, Mohd Ashraf and Rakesh Singh besides in long jump, 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by Chander Singh, Parshotam Kumar and Nadeep Ahmed.
In Archery women 50 mtrs, Pooja Devi, Usha Devi and Nirmal Devi clinched top three positions, whereas in 30 mtrs, Usha Devi, Pooja Devi and Preeti Devi bagged top three places respectively and in men 50 mtrs, Manish Jasrotia, Sayed Saleem and Sahil Katal stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd while in 30 mtrs, Sukhwinder Singh, Ajay Bharti and Sunil Kumar clinched top three medals respectively and in overall Shubam Dubey, Kapil Bagal and Atul Sharma remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In Athletics 1500 mtrs, Deepak Kumar, Mohd Rafeeq and Methan Kumar bagged top three medals, whereas 10000 mtrs, Mohd Rafeeq, Ram Raj and Mohd Ashraf stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in shotput, Arun Sharma, Ashish Pandita and Farooq Ahmed remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In Wushu 60 kg, Ashiq Majeed and Aadil Ahmed stood 1st and 2nd while Mohd Ashraf and Zahid Ahmed shared bronze medal, whereas in 70 kg, Atul Sharma, Ajaz Ahmed Pala and Yashpal Sharma clinched top three medals and in 75 kg, Abdul Rashid, Rajesh won gold and silver while Atul Sharma and Muzaffer Ahmed jointly clinched bronze medal besides in 80 kg, Mohd Ishfaq and Arundeep Singh bagged gold and silver medals and bronze medal was shared by Arif Ali and Hilal Ahmed Bhat, while 90 kg, Ranjit Saini, Rohit Chib and Balbir Singh stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in plus 90 kg, Shubham Singh Sukhdev and Arun Sharma clinched top three medals respectively.
In wushu girls, Tabassum and Asiya bagged gold medals in 60 and 65 kg respectively, whereas in taekwondo, Ashiq Majeed, Atul Sharma and Rohit Chib clinched gold medals in 63, 74 and 80 kg respectively.
