JAMMU, Jan 24: Chairman Kashmir Society International, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah hailed the J&K Governor for voicing ban on wine in J&K. Renzushah termed it ‘black day’ when J&K Legislators passed bill for allowing use of wine in the State and thousands of wine licences were issued here. “Thousands of families are being spoiled because of wine and youth have been addicted in Kashmir too,” Renzushah said.
He was speaking at a function at Cultural Academy here today where he was chief guest.
He hoped that radio, TV and media will play their role in declaring such anti-society wine bills as null and void.
Renzushah said that history is witness of facts that anger, violence and hate is no solution to any problem. “We should strengthen purity of Sufiyat so that our golden era is revived,” he maintained.
He hoped steps for introducing Sufiyat as compulsory subjects in education will be taken immediately.
