Medical, dental, veterinary camp organized

UDHAMPUR, Apr 26: The Trishul Division of Fire and Fury Corps organized a medical, dental and veterinary camp here at a small village, Shara, near Upshi in Leh district, today.
The camp was organized free of cost in an effort by the Army to reach out to the sick and needy people of the hill district which is in an extremely difficult area of the Eastern Ladakh region.
A total of 65 persons were treated for dental illness and as many as 80 persons were examined and treated for eye related illness.
Four elderly persons were also screened for cataract and were referred to the Army’s Hospital at Leh for further treatment and surgery. The dental treatment included the medical procedures like restoration i.e. filling of cavities, tooth extraction and scaling. The local population expressed their sincere thanks to the Army authorities for the conduct of the camp.
