KATHUA, Oct 6: A Health Mela cum mega medical check-up camp was held at Government Sub District Hospital, Bani today under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer, Kathua, Dr Rakesh Mangotra with the active coordination of Principal GMC Kathua, Dr. Surinder Attri.
The camp was held in presence of Dr Dev Raj Mishra, Block Medical Officer, Bani. The Bani Health Mela was held under Aayushman Bhava Campaign.
The health mela was inaugurated by District Development Council (DDC), Member, Reeta Thakur. In this camp 636 patients were examined for various ailments under eight specialities.
The highest number of the patients 120 presented in the Ortho OPD and 102 in the Gayne OPD, 48 in Eye, 87 in Surgery, 82 in ENT, 51 in Dermatology (Skin), 73 in medicines and 73 in paediatrics.
Dr Dev Raj Mishra Block Medical Officer, Bani complimented District Health Administration and all the doctors for extending their support for the treatment of poor masses in the remotest area of district Kathua.
