‘Rang Trang-Display Your Talent’

JAMMU, Sept 20: Debate Competition on the topic “Social Media as a platform for change is doing more harm than good” was held during the ongoing ‘Rang Trang-Display Your Talent’, being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.
The first prize was awarded to Mehula Khajuria from GCET. Idris Falashi from GDC Doda secured second position. The third position was awarded to Shrishti Koul from the Department of Chemistry, JU. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Sugandhi from Bhartiya College of Education and Hivreen Kaur from GCW Parade.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh alongwith Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. B.K. Bajaj, Associate Dean (SW), Dr. Anju Thappa, member Campus Cultural Committee felicitated the winners.
Prof PN Trishal, Prof Indu Kilam and Prof RK Mahajan comprised the jury and Dr Sapna Sangra was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
The event was coordinated by Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer) and Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor).
Alisha, Shahraza, Vaishali, Mehul, Meenakshi, Anup, Vrinda, Amogh and Sonia looked after the hall management.
Tomorrow, the events of Poster Making and Cartooning will be conducted in the seminar hall of Department of EVS, University of Jammu from 10 am onwards.
