MENDHAR, Nov 7: Outplaying Cattral Club by (3-2) sets in the summit clash, Mendhar Club lifted the title trophy of the Volleyball tournament, organized by Er Choudhary Younis at Government Higher Secondary School Chattral, here today.
SDPO Mendhar, Rayaz Tantary Mendhar was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Major M P Singh Coy Commander Chattral was the guest of honour.
The chief guest and the guest of honour distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
The dignitaries also presented best media coverage award to Daily Excelsior Reporter Mendhar M S Nazki on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPO emphasized the importance of games and sports in modern era.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Chattral, Mohd Shafi Mir; Youth president Chattral Club, Advocate Tanveer Qureshi; Mohd Hussain, Ch Hamid Ahmed, Master Safeer Qureshi and chief organizer, Abdul Khaliq, Mustaq Ahmed and Rameez Raja.
