NEW DELHI, Mar 13: Continued its losing streak for the fourth straight day, mentha oil prices fell by 0.35 per cent to Rs 849.10 per kg in futures trading today as speculators indulged in trimming positions amid slackened demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 3, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 849.10 per kg in a business turnover of 118 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 1.40, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 841.20 per kg in 468 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market against increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh. (AGENCIES)
