Meritorious students awarded ‘Tagore Gourav Award’

KATHUA, Sept 8: Tagore Vidyarthi Vikas Santha organised “Tagore Gourav Award-2013” function in the auditorium of Government Degree College.
On the occasion Rajesh Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner was the chief guest, while Prof Netar Singh, Principal Govt. Degree College and Anirudh Sharma, Block Development Officer were also present.
The “Tagore Gourav Award” was awarded to the students who excelled in academics, sports and professional entrance examinations. The awards were provided to more than 60 students including three adopted students of Sanstha.
President of Sanstha Sanjay Sehgal highlighted the aims and objectives of the Sanstha. Sanstha adopted 9th class students and also provided facilities and fulfilled the needs of poor and needy students of Government schools with study materials, he added.
Sanstha also organises summer workshop, quiz, painting competition, educational tour for the adopted students.
Founder of Sanstha Rajinder Gupta urged to inculcate moral values among the students so that they can become a better citizen of India to provide better future.
Among others present were Pritam Singh, PP Singh, KD Khajuria, Subash Sharma, Bansi Lal, Krishan Lal Sharma, Subash Gupta, Subash Chander, Lalit Dogra and Des Raj Gupta.
