JAMMU, June 20: MFCC and Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) crushed their respective opponents and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup being played at KC Public School cricket ground here.
Batting first after winning the toss, MFCC set a target of 126 runs in 20 over. Mandy and Mahesh scored 27 and 18 runs respectively.
From KCC side, Kamaljeet was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets and Ashok scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, KCC failed to chase the target and were bundled out at 114 in 18 overs. Goldy scored 16 runs and Savanjeet made 14 runs.
From MFCC side, Ankit was the wrecker-in-chief with 4 wickets, whereas Rishav took 2 wickets.
Ankit of MFCC was declared as man of the match.
In the second match, Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) registered 51 runs win over New Challenger Cricket Club (NCCC).
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, SCC made 145 runs in 20 over. Somy played well and scored 60 runs, whereas Deeker scored 32 runs.
From NCCC side, Sumit took 2 wickets and Ram Dayal claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, NCCC were bundled out at 94 runs for all out in 17 overs. Manjeet Manhas scored 28 runs and Vijay made 14 runs.
From SCC side, Rompy and Anil Sharma took 3 wickets each.
Rompy of SCC was declared as man of the match.
