MGCA drubs Sidhant Academy by 50 runs in Hot Weather U-15 Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, July 7: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) defeated Sidhant Cricket Academy by 50 runs in the ongoing Hot Weather Under-15 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
The Tournament is being held under the chairmanship Ankush Abrol, Former Member BCCI and Member JKCA Working Committee.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy scored a good total of 206 runs in the stipulated 40 overs. Dhruv Parmar was the top scorer with 66 runs off 88 balls, studded with 12 magnificent boundaries, while Arin Sharma contributed 37 runs off 38 balls to the total. Aarav Mahajan scored 34 runs off 82 balls with the help of 2 boundaries, while Praful Dhar made quick-fire 24 runs off 12 balls including 4 boundaries. For Sidhant Cricket Academy, Chitwan took 3 wickets, while Tripjot, Keshav, Dhananjay and Devesh claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Sidhant Academy, despite brilliant century hit by Dhananjay managed to score 156 runs 32.2 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 50 runs. Dhananjay was the top scorer with 102 runs, hitting 14 magnificent boundaries, while Chitwan contributed 15 runs with the help of 3 boundaries. Though, dropped twice in his 80s after the bowling of Praful, Dhananjay at one stage was looking dangerous to take match away from MGCA. However, MGCA bowlers hit good areas and restricted them to a total of 156 runs.
For MIER CA, Nityam Abrol took 3 wickets, while Dhruv bagged 2 wickets. Praful Dhar and Suraj claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Ashok Kumar as umpires, while Shiv Kumar was the scorer.
Prominent among others who witnessed the match were Varinder Sharma, Senior Cricket Coach Sports Authority of India (SAI) and In-charge Sports Training Centre (STC); Suresh Singh, BCCI Level-1 coach; Shashi Paul, Cricket Promoter, besides coaches Sunil Kumar and Deepak Dogra (Baba).
