JAMMU, June 14: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) defeated Sidhant Cricket Academy (SCA) by 45 runs in the Group-A first semifinal match of the ongoing New Year Junior Days Matches Cricket Cup, being organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) under the supervision of Cricket Coach, Sunil Kumar at MGCA ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, MGCA scored 139 runs in 36.5 overs. Arjun Parth was the top scorer with 43 runs, while Dhruv Parmar and Areen Sharma contributed 23 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Sidhant Cricket Academy, Keshav scalped 4 wickets, while Sahil bagged 2 and Bismadh claimed one.
In reply, Sidhant Cricket Academy bundled out for paltry 84 runs in 33.5 overs, thus lost the match by 45 runs. Deevansh was the top scorer with 32 runs, while Keshav and Chitwan chipped in with 19 runs each. For MGCA, Nityam Abrol took 5 important wickets, while Praful Dhar bagged 2 wickets. Dhruv Parmar and Prabjot Singh claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Shiv Kumar as umpires, while Aryan Dasi was the scorer.
