JAMMU, June 23: The team of Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) which is on a 7-days tour to Delhi, has defeated Roshanara Cricket Club Delhi and Modern School Delhi at different venues in Delhi.
In a day-night encounter, MGCA drubbed Roshanara Cricket Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Roshanara Club scored 146 runs in the stipulated 35 overs. Ajay Sharma, Arjun Bharti, Dheeraj and Sampark Gupta bagged 2 wickets each for MGCA, while Sahil Lotra claimed one wicket.
In reply, MGCA chased the target in 28.1 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Nitesh Jamwal was the top scorer with 42 runs, while Ateev Saini contributed 30 runs to the total. Sahil Lotra also made valuable 20 runs, while Suryansh Raina and Surya Mahotra chipped in with 15 runs each.
In another match, MGCA trounced Modern School Delhi by 5 wickets. Batting first, Modern School bundled out for a paltry total of 99 runs. Manoj and Abhishek contributed 25 and 22 runs to the total. Sampark Gupta bagged 3 wickets, while Sahil Lotra claimed 2 wickets for MGCA. Ajay and Dheeraj also claimed one wicket each.
In reply, MGCA chased the target by losing 5 wickets to win the match by 5 wickets. Ateev Saini was the top scorer for MGCA with 30 runs.
