JAMMU, Dec 7: Maharaja Harisingh Agricultural Collegiate (MHAC) School Nagbani, Jammu hosted DAV National Sports 2023 (Cluster Level) tournament for the U-14, U-17, and U-19 age groups from December 5 to 7. In this tournament all schools of J&K cluster under DAV management participated in all 30 games. Brij Mohan, Principal MHAC Nagbani was the cluster as well as Zonal Incharge for this tournament.
Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was Tushar Kant Sharma (Retired Bureaucrat), an eminent personality, a well known administrator and LMC member. He declared the meet open and in his address, he encouraged the students to inculcate sports as an integral part of their daily routine.
While at the closing ceremony the chief guest was S S Kotwal, SSP (Director Securities, J&K). Among others were Alok Betab, ARO J&K Zone and Pankaj Kaushik, Principal MHS DAV Public School, RS Pura.
Overall results of the Championship were MHAC School Nagbani won seven gold, three silver and one Bronze medal, MHS DAV Cent Public School Akhnoor won two gold, six silver and one bronze and MHS DAV Public School, RS Pura won one gold and one silver medal.
Overall trophy was bagged by MHAC School Nagbani; Jammu Principal Brij Mohan appreciated the players and applauded the efforts of the Sports Department for making the event a huge success.
