JAMMU, Sept 25: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Arvinder Singh Micky inaugurated the Under-19 boys selection camp for the forthcoming BCCI tournaments at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, Akhnoor Road, here today.
The camp which is being attended by the probables of Jammu was formally inaugurated Mr Micky in presence of Working Committee members namely Romesh Mahajan, Chaman Lal Charangoo, Chaman Lal Suri, Ankush Abrol, Hardev Singh Jamwal, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Rajesh Dhar, Rajeev Pandita, Chairman Senior Selection Committee, Ashinder Koul, Shahid Parvez, Randhir Singh, Kavaljeet Singh, Surjeet Singh and renowned cricketers of the State including Ashwani Gupta, Surinder Singh Bagal, Sanjay Sharma, Harsh Nayyar, Ajit Singh and Ravi Kumar.
The probables reported at the camp to undergo training under the supervision of BCCI qualified coaches Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Suresh Singh.
Speaking on the occasion JKCA Chairman Arvinder Singh Micky called upon the boys to remain focused and disciplined during the camp and further made it clear that the boys who attended and performed in the ongoing camp to the satisfaction of selection committee will be considered for the selection of JKCA
He also instructed the coaches and selectors to perform their duties in the most impartial manner so that talented and meritorious boys get their due and make it to the State team.
Mr Micky further said that JKCA is on its job to hire a professional coach to train the State cricketers in order to achieve excellence.
