UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: A middle aged woman committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her house in village Retti.
A police spokesman said that Taroo Devi (55), wife of Shatoo Ram of village Ritti, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. The family members noticed her in serious condition and shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where she died during treatment.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while Police has registered the case in this connection for further investigation.
