MIER outplays Border Defence XI in Anti Drug Cricket Tourney

KATHUA, Dec 27: MIER Cricket Academy defeated Border Defence XI in the ongoing Anti Drug Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Anti Drug Society, Marheen, here.
Earlier, Border Defence XI won the toss and decided to field first.
While batting first, MIER Cricket Academy scored 130 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Ahmed Shahzad and Jahanveer scored 36 runs each, while Sumit contributed 20 runs to the total.
In reply, Border Defence XI scored 118 runs in 18.3 overs. Mannat Bedi took 3 important wickets and Tabish bagged 2 wickets. MIER Cricket Academy won the match by 12 runs. Mannat was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant performance.
Praveen Kumar, Manager J&K Bank Marheen, Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion, who presented man of the match award to Mannat.
