*Feel at home: Bollywood actress Jaya Pradha

JAMMU, Mar 29: There is a dire need that the State as well as the Central Governments launches a special employment package for migrants including Kashmiri Pandits and other minority people from the Valley, besides a financial assistance to involve the youth in sports and other allied activities and nurture their sporting talent.
This was stated by Bollywood Actress and Ex-Member Parliament, Jaya Pradha during a valedictory function of a mega sports event, organized by the Minorities Welfare Society of Jammu and Kashmir at Jagti Migrant Apartments Playfield, near here today.
Jaya was accompanied by another Bollywood Actress and Chairperson Minorities Welfare Society Jammu and Kashmir, Preeti Saproo as a special guest and SPP Jammu, Vivek Gupta and Rajesh Kumar Sharma, TM BPCL as the guests of honour.
Addressing a large gathering of Jagti inmates, Jaya said that love and affection of the people here brought me an ecstatic feeling and I simply felt at home.
“I got a feeling that the people were waiting in the wings to receive me. I have no words to express their enthusiasm and spirit. I got the same love which the women get when they come to meet their mothers after the marriage. I just feel what child must be feeling in mother’s lap,” Jaya said.
Lauding the efforts of social worker Preeti Saproo in building better societies, Jaya said that when I was asked by my friend to come to Jagti, without any second thought, I came here to appreciate and encourage the youth, adding that I will visit again and again for such noble causes.
Preeti while speaking on the occasion said that I feel blissful to be part of the sporting event organized for a noble cause.
Preeti further said that she will leave no stone unturned in fighting for the issues of the minority community.
Meanwhile, 16 teams in Cricket and 8 teams in Volleyball took part in this three days event, which had begun on March 27, 2018.
Khalsa Kings lifted the cricket title by defeating Torniato Cricket Club in the summit clash.
The winners were presented and mementoes by the chief guest and other dignitaries on theoccasion.
The matches were officiated by Rohit Bandral, Rahul Bhat, Chetan, Ashok Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Gourav Singh, Munna, Surjit Padha, Subash Orzu and Sudhir Padha.
